Is your child struggling with everyday tasks and routines at home, in school, or in community settings?

Coping with a child who engages in behavior problems that disrupt family life can be terribly frustrating and difficult for parents, teachers, friends, and family.  The constant need to focus on the disruptive behaviors of one child can be exhausting for parents and can cause difficulties for siblings trying to cope with competing parent attention.

My therapeutic approach is to work closely with families of children with autism and related disabilities to help them learn and develop skills to create a successful, stable home environment for the entire family.  Behavioral skills training helps to improve the lives of children and their families by helping a child learn adaptive behavioral, functional and social skills, and increase independence.

We offer parent training in individual and group settings that provide parents with skills in basic behavioral approaches that are proven to have a positive impact on the interactions that occur between parent and child.  Using positive behavioral techniques, parents can learn the skills necessary to turn the family home into a supportive, comfortable environment in which children can learn, make friends, become confident in themselves, in their relationships, and in their ability to function in the world.

Working together, we can make a positive difference in your lives as parents, in the lives of your family, and in the future of your special needs child.
