The fees vary depending on the type of service.  Schedule a free consultation to discuss your needs and determine which services would be most helpful.  


As an out of network provider, we do not accept insurance. If you wish to use your insurance, you may pay for your services at the time of your appointment and submit a statement to your insurance with a reimbursement request.

If you plan to do this, check with your insurance first to determine if this is a possible option for you.  Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Does my insurance plan require that I see providers on their panel?
  • Do I have a flex spending account and can I use it for payment of mental health services?
  • Ask your carrier to provide you with a list of providers near you, based on your zip code.
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?
  • If I have mental health benefits, are out-of-network benefits included?
  • Is any pre-approval required before obtaining out-of-network mental health services in order to be reimbursed?

After each session you can request a statement with the necessary information on services provided and fees paid for submission of claims for reimbursement to your insurance provider. However, no guarantees are made about whether or not you may be reimbursed based upon your insurance coverage. 

Continuity of Care Request

If you are an existing client and have requested that information be shared with a 3rd party on your behalf, you will be asked to complete a “Release & Exchange of Information” form in the office.  A copy should also be provided to the other person and/or agency if they serve you in a professional capacity.

Cancellation Policy

To be able to meet the needs of our clients, a predictable schedule must be in place. If you are late for an appointment, you will be seen for the remainder of your scheduled time and will be charged for the full session as scheduled. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please provide 24 hours advance notice; otherwise you may be charged for the time that was reserved for you. The exception to this policy is an emergency, such as weather or accident, or the unexpected onset of illness. Legal Fees Disclosure

Please be advised that Counseling in Brevard, LLC has a Legal Fees Policy for any legal or court related involvement with your case.  These include a base retainer fee, all time spent preparing records, responding to subpoenas and more.  If legal involvement evolves, you will be provided with our fee disclosure form.  These fees are non-negotiable.

Fees for Form & Letter Requests

 Some clients request letters for disability, schools, court, parenting coordinators or other such needs.  A checklist form provided by you is assessed at $50.  Any prepared letters requiring narratives for other purposes are assessed at $150 per letter for up to 2 pages. There is an additional fee of $75 for each additional page.   For more detailed assessments, please contact us.

Testimony for Divorce, Custody & Visitation/Parental Access

Counseling in Brevard, LLC – DBA Counseling in Brevard does NOT participate in custody hearings, custody/access disputes, visitation, or divorce proceedings.  These matters are not within our scope of practice.  Please contact a Parent Coordinator or another neutral party to assist you in this matter.  Upon request, we can provide you with a referral source of such people and/or agencies that may be able to assist you.
